Q.1: What is the most obvious advantage of sleep ?

Ans: The most obvious advantage of sleep is that when we sleep, our body recovers from fatigue caused by day’s activities.

Q.2: What happens to our body when we sleep ?

Ans: When we sleep, our muscles relax more and more. Our heartbeat becomes slower. Our temperature and blood pressure go down. Our brain also slows down.

Q.3: Define a dream in your own words.

Ans: Dream is an activity of the mind that takes place when we are asleep.

Q.4: Why are dreams important ? Mention two reasons.

Ans: Dreams are important because:

  1. A dream can help us to sleep through the noise or other disturbances.
  2. Dreams reveal a lot about our problems.

Q.5: Why has sleep been called a wonder ?

Ans: Sleep has been called a wonder because when we sleep, our body recovers from the fatigue caused by day’s activities. Our muscles relax and our brain slows down. After a good sleep, we become alert and active again.
